## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 3, 2006, WHILE PREPARING FOR LANDING THE ENGINE ENCOUNTERED POWER LOSS. THE PILOT BEGAN AN EMERGENCY DESCENT. THERE WAS ANOTHER AIRCRAFT IN THE LANDING PATTERN AND THE PILOT FOLLOWED CLOSELY. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE OTHER AIRCRAFT DID A TOUCH AND GO AND HE BELIEVED HE MET THE PROP WASH WHICH CAUSED HIS AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE RIGHT ON LANDING. SUBSEQUENTLY THE AIRCRAFT WENT OFF THE RUNWAY AND GROUND LOOPED ONWARD TO THE RIGHT WING TIP. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT APPEARS TO BE SUPERFICIAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
