## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT'S STATEMENT: UPON LANDING RW24 ACK, AT APPROXIMATELY 1:30PM ON AUGUST 4, 2006, THE REFERENCED AIRCRAFT INCURRED A PROP STRIKE. PILOT WAS PILOTING THE AIRCRAFT AND CARRYING ONE PASSENGER AND NEITHER ONE WAS INJURED. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN AND WAS SHUT DOWN DURING ROLLOUT WITH MOMENTUM TO SAFELY REACH THE SOUTH RAMP. CIRCUMSTANCES CONTRIBUTING TO THE INCIDENT ARE AS FOLLOWS: JUST PRIOR TO MAIN GEAR TOUCH DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT SUDDENLY SHIFTED LEFT OF CENTERLINE WITH A DRAMATIC INCREASE IN GROUND SPEED. AS HE CORRECTED BACK TO CENTERLINE, THE PLANE BOUNCED HARD ON MAIN GEAR, THEN ONTO THE NOSE GEAR. ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE CONTINUED RUNNING, HE WAS AFRAID THAT THE PROP HAD STRUCK AND ELECTED NOT TO GO AROUND. TWO MORE PORPOISE-LIKE BOUNCES THEN FOLLOWED SUSTAINING IMPACT DAMAGE TO RUBBER GEAR BUSHINGS AND WHEEL FAIRINGS. TIRES REMAINED INFLATED. ALL THREE-PROP TIPS WERE BENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
