## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH & GO'S AT SEQUIM VALLEY AIRPORT ON THE GRASS. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD EXPERIENCED TWO GROUND LOOPS ON THE GRASS, WITH NO AIRCRAFT DAMAGE. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE THOUGHT THAT HE HAD THE AIRCRAFT FIGURED OUT ON THE GRASS AND DECIDED TO DO SOME HARD SURFACE LANDINGS. THE PILOT ELECTED TO GO TO THE PORT ANGELES AIRPORT BECAUSE IT HAD A RUNWAY WIDTH OF 150 FEET VS 45 FT @ SEQUIM VALLEY. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE MADE A STOP & GO FOLLOWED BY A FULL STOP FOR A BREAK. THE PILOT THEN TOOK OFF AND DECIDED TO DO ONE MORE TOUCH & GO BEFORE RETURNING TO SEQUIM VALLEY WHEN THE GROUND LOOP OCCURRED. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE LANDED THE AIRCRAFT THREE POINT AS USUAL AND THAT HIS FEET SLIPPED OFF THE RUDDER PEDALS DUE TO THE FORCE OF THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTING THE RUNWAY SURFACE. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT AFTER THE GROUND LOOP REVEALED THE LEFT RUDDER SPRING HAD BECOME DISENGAGED FROM THE TAIL WHEEL AND THAT THE SPRING RETAINER WAS MISSING. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING, AS A RESULT OF THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR COLLAPSING.
