## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) HAWKER N820CT WAS REPOSITIONING FROM DTO TO GKY ON AUG. 9, 2006 AT ABOUT 2:35 PM IN THE ALLIANCE AIRPORT AREA AT 3500FT MSL, WHEN IT HIT A LARGE BIRD (UNKNOWN TYPE) ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE BIRD STRUCK THE AIRCRAFT JUST AFT OF THE RADOME AND THEN HIT HARD ON THE LEFT WING ROOT SEPARATING THE LEADING EDGE AT THE WING ROOT. THERE WAS ALSO DENTS ON THE LEADING EDGE, TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE WING. THERE WERE ALSO BIRD PARTS SEEN IN THE LEFT ENGINE. AFTER THE HIT, THE FLIGHT WAS CONTINUED TO ARLINGTON WITHOUT INCIDENT AND A NORMAL LANDING WAS COMPLETED. THIS REPORT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
