## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR FOR LANDING, BUT THE NOSE GEAR DID NOT INDICATE DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE MAIN LANDING GEAR WAS INDICATING DOWN AND LOCKED, BUT THE NOSE GEAR WOULD NOT LOCK. HE CYCLED THE LANDING GEAR 5 TIMES, THEN ATTEMPTED THE ALTERNATE EXTENSION CHECKLIST. WHEN ALL ATTEMPTS TO EXTEND AND LOCK THE NOSE GEAR FAILED, THE PILOT EXECUTED A NOSE GEAR UP LANDING. THE PILOT LANDED SUCCESSFULLY, SUSTAINING ONLY MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO OTHER DAMAGE OR INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
