## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT, A KING AIR B100, TOUCHED DOWN AT THE VERY END OF RUNWAY 33 AT SFZ. THE LEFT LANDING GEAR HIT THE EXTREME END OF THE PAVEMENT WITH THE BRAKES ON AND THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR HIT THE DIRT EXACTLY AT THE LIP OF THE PAVEMENT. THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO BOUNCE DOWN THE RUNWAY, WITH THE RIGHT GEAR COLLAPSING FROM THE IMPACT 550 FEET FROM THE TOUCHDOWN POINT. THE RIGHT PROPELLER STRUCK THE PAVEMENT AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT INTERVALS, LEAVING VISIBLE MARKS ON THE PAVEMENT AT THOSE INTERVALS. EVENTUALLY, THE AIRCRAFT WENT OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT 1127 FEET FROM THE END AND CAME TO REST 85 FEET EAST OF THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC06CA201](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC06CA201), Aug 13, 2006: Beech B100 (N75AP), Pawtucket, RI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's misjudged distance and speed during final approach, which resulted in an undershoot and subsequent gear collapse.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
