## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS TAXIING OUT TO RUNWAY 14 AND OPENED A CAN OF POP TO PUT IN THE HOLDER. THE CAN STARTED TO OVERFLOW AND SPILL SO HE LEANED OVER TO AVOID GETTING IT ON THE SEAT. THE DISTRACTION CAUSED HIM TO TEMPORARILY LEAVE THE TAXIWAY AND THE PROP STRUCK A LIGHT. MINOR DAMAGE TO ONE PROP BLADE. PILOT RETURNED TO RAMP AND DISCONTINUED HIS PLANNED IFR FLIGHT TO MICHIGAN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
