## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 16, 2006, AT APPROXIMATELY 1100 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME, AN AMATEUR BUILT SEAREY, N21GE, WAS PARTIALLY DAMAGED WHEN ITS GEAR COLLAPSED AND DEPARTED THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 19. THE AIRCRAFT INITIALLY TOUCHED DOWN AND IMMEDIATELY FELT THE LEFT GEAR COLLAPSE. THE AIRCRAFT PROGRESSIVELY VEERED TO THE LEFT, DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND CAME TO A STOP AFTER KNOCKING DOWN AN ELECTRIC FENCE AND SLIDING DOWN A SLIGHT BERM. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING. THE LEFT FLOAT WAS SEVERED DUE TO THE IMPACT WITH THE GROUND AND FENCE POLE. AN EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A BROKEN INTERNAL LANDING GEAR LINKAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
