## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 31, 2006, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LANDED SHORT OF RUNWAY 17 AT THE CRETE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, CRETE, NEBRASKA. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN IN A BEAN FIELD ABOUT 500 FEET SHORT OF THE RUNWAY AND FINISHED ITS ROLLOUT ON RUNWAY 17. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR INJURIES TO THE PILOT. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE INTENDED TO LAND ON THE VERY END OF THE PAVEMENT BUT MISJUDGED THE DESCENT AND DIDN'T ADD ENOUGH POWER SOON ENOUGH. THERE WERE NO MALFUNCTIONS WITH THE AIRCRAFT. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DOES NOT HAVE A CURRENT MEDICAL CERTIFICATE OR A CURRENT FLIGHT REVIEW. INSPECTOR ON SCENE WHEN INCIDENT OCCURRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
