## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT OF N9077V, WHILE ON APPROACH TO LAND AT PITTSFIELD, ILLINOIS, HAD PLACED THE LANDING GEAR SWITCH TO THE DOWN POSITION BUT DID NOT VERIFY, BY LIGHTS AND FLOOR INDICATOR, THAT THE LANDING GEAR HAD EXTENDED. THE LANDING GEAR HAD NOT EXTENDED AND THE PILOT, NOT KNOWING THAT THE GEAR HAD NOT EXTENDED, COMPLETED HIS APPROACH TO LAND AND THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT INDICATED THAT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE LANDING GEAR HAD 'POPPED' BUT HE HADN'T NOTICED IT UNTIL AFTER THE EVENT. THE PILOT RECEIVED NO INJURIES RESULTING FROM THE EVENT AND THIS REPORT CLOSES THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
