## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC06LA214](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC06LA214), Sep 2, 2006: Cessna 150K (N6401G), Shelby Gap, KY, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's improper decision to attempt a visual flight rules flight in instrument meteorological conditions, which resulted in an impact with mountainous terrain. A factor was the low ceiling.

## Other reports on N6401G (1)
