## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE OCALA AIRPORT WITH PASSENGER AND LANDED ON THE MCGINLEY AIRPORT FOR A BRIEF TIME. ACCORDING TO A STATEMENT FROM ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AFTER AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE MCGINLEY AIRPORT IT WAS REPORTED THAT ONCE OFF THE GROUND, IT PROCEEDED SOUTH BOUND WITH MINIMAL ALTITUDE GAIN. THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO BE BANKING TO THE LEFT AND IT CONTINUED INTO A STALL WITH A LEFT SPIN AND STRUCK THE GROUND WITH THE RIGHT WING IMPACTING THE GROUND FIRST. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN WHERE THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED AND WHERE IT IMPACTED THE GROUND, WAS APPROXIMATELY 3 TENTHS OF A MILE IN A PEANUT FIELD. THERE WAS NO FIRE ON IMPACT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA06LA135](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA06LA135), Sep 3, 2006: Luscombe 8A (N71927), Ocala, FL, substantial damage, 2 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain airspeed during initial climb.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
