## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT ABORTED TAKEOFF ON THEIR PRIVATE 1300 FOOT AIRSTRIP 3 MILES SOUTH OF LAUREL, MT AND APPLIED BRAKES AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK. NO INJURIES TO PILOT OR PASSENGER. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. THERE WAS NO FIRE INVOLVED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS MECHANICALLY SOUND PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA06CA178](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA06CA178), Sep 6, 2006: Cessna 150 (N6581T), Laurel, MT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive application of the brakes during an aborted takeoff, which resulted in a nose over.

## Other reports on N6581T (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19930326007339A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930326007339A), Mar 26, 1993: Cessna STC150 (N6581T), Laurel, MT, Substantial damage. Lost power on takeoff roll. Aborted but ran off end of runway and nosed over. No defects but air filter suspect.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
