## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT PUT THE GEAR HANDLE IN THE DOWN POSITION ON ENTERING DOWNWIND. A LEARJET HAD TAKEN THE RUNWAY AS PILOT WAS ON DOWNWIND SO PILOT LENGTHENED HIS DOWNWIND AND STAYED AT THE PATTERN ALTITUDE IN ORDER TO CHECK THE FLAPS ON APPROACH. PILOT TURNED TO FINAL AND PUT 20 DEGREES OF FLAP AND STARTED DOWN. PILOT PERFORMED GUMP CHECK AT THAT TIME AND IT SHOWED THAT THE GEAR HANDLE WAS DOWN AND APPROXIMATELY 10 GALLONS OF FUEL. WITH NO ELECTRICS I DID NOT HAVE THE GEAR LIGHTS. THE GEAR HAD WORKED PERFECTLY ON THE PREVIOUS LANDINGS SO THE PILOT SAID HE HAD CONFIDENCE THEY WERE DOWN AT THIS TIME. AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
