## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO THE PIC, HE CALLED FOR "SPEED BRAKES" SHORTLY AFTER TOUCHDOWN. THE SIC STATED THE PIC HAD CALLED FOR "STEERING" AND SO ENGAGED THE ELECTRIC NOSE WHEEL STEERING. THIS CALL IS NOT NORMAL UNLESS BELOW 40 KIAS. THE PILOT WAS HOLDING IN R RUDDER TO COMPENSATE FOR A CROSSWIND. WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING WAS ENGAGED THE PLANE IMMEDIATELY EXITED THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT. THE PIC WAS ABLE TO BRING THE PLANE BACK UNDER CONTROL ON THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
