## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT TAXIED FROM SKYLINE AERONAUTICS TO 26L (ABOUT A 2.5 MILE DISTANCE), BECAUSE 26R WAS CLOSED. ONE OF THE PILOTS SMELLED SMOKE AFTER STOPPING AT HOLD LINE ON 26L. ONE OF THE PILOTS THEN REQUESTED TO TAXI AWAY FROM THE HOLD LINE EXPLAINING SMOKE WAS OBSERVED. SPIRIT GROUND CONTROL THEN ADVISED THE AIRCRAFT THAT FLAMES WERE BEING OBSERVED AND SUGGESTED THE EVACUATION OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS EVACUATED AND THE FLAMES WERE EXTINGUISHED BY AIRPORT FIRE AND RESCUE CREW.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
