## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT, THE AIRCRAFT OWNER, DEPARTED NARROW GRASS PRIVATE STRIP THAT NORMALLY HAS SOME CROSSWIND COMPONENT. AIRCRAFT, PULLED LEFT DURING INITIAL APPLICATION OF TAKEOFF POWER, AND CLIPPED BUSHES AT SIDE OF RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET FROM THE TAKEOFF POSITION. THIS CAUSED FURTHER DEVIATION TO THE LEFT WHERE THE LEFT WING IMPACTED A TREE AND THE AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND THE NON PILOT RATED PASSENGER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI06CA272](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI06CA272), Sep 26, 2006: Boeing A75N1 (N985BC), Garrettsville, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the takeoff roll. The bush and tree were factors to the accident.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
