## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT DURING TAKEOFF AND INITIAL CLIMB FROM A SHORT AGRICULTURAL GRASS AIRSTRIP, THE WIND SHIFTED, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF LIFT, STALL AND UNCONTROLLED IMPACT WITH TERRAIN. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOADED WITH APPROXIMATELY 150 GALLONS OF CHEMICAL/WATER MIX (APPROX. 8 POUND/GALLON). THE PILOT SAFELY EGRESSED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL07CA007](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL07CA007), Oct 11, 2006: Cessna 188B (N91181), Belhaven, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to compensate for wind conditions and maintain adequate airspeed, which resulted in an inadvertent stall and subsequent in-flight collision with terrain.

## Other reports on N91181 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19900512026619I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19900512026619I), May 12, 1990: Cessna A188B (N91181), Weld County, CO. Struck powerlines. Equipped with wire cutters which functioned normally. Landed safely. Cut caused power outage.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
