## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON RUNWAY 35L AT KCOS, AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO PULL TO THE LEFT. PILOT NOTICED LEFT WING LOWERING AND SPARKS COMING FROM UNDER THE LEFT WING. PILOT INFORMED TOWER OF A LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSE AND CONTINUED ONTO THE A3 TAXIWAY CONNECTOR WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP BETWEEN THE PHYSICAL RUNWAY AND THE HOLD-SHORT LINE OF THE A3 CONNECTOR. PILOT THEN SHUT DOWN THE AIRCRAFT. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR TRUNNION BOLT BROKE IN TWO PIECES CAUSING THE LEFT MAIN GEAR TO TWIST OUTBOARD AND PARTIALLY COLLAPSE. INSPECTION OF TRUNNION BOLT BY NTSB PERSONNEL INDICATED METAL FATIGUE CAUSED THE TRUNNION BOLT TO FAIL. From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
