## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT AND PAX PERFORMED THE PRE-FLIGHT CHECK. THE OIL WAS VISUALLY INSPECTED AT 7 QUARTS PRIOR TO FLIGHT. AFTER DEPARTURE FROM KCHD, THE PILOT STATED THAT THE ENGINE STARTED TO RUN ROUGH. ADDITIONALLY, NO OIL PRESSURE WAS INDICATED ON GAUGE. HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 35 AT P19 (STELLAR AIRPARK). HE WAS UNABLE TO MAKE THIS RUNWAY AND OPTED FOR AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING. THE PILOT CONTACTED KCHD TOWER AND ADVISED OF HIS INTENTIONS. DURING THE OFF-AIRPORT LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH DIRT BEAMS. THIS CONTACT CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. MINOR INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND PAX WERE NOTED. NO ONE ON THE GROUND WAS HURT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
