## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OCTOBER 19, 2006, AT APPROXIMATELY 15:30 HOURS, THE PILOT OF MOONEY N9499V WAS APPROACHING RUNWAY 8 AT THE DAVENPORT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. THE PILOT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF EXECUTING HIS THIRD TOUCH AND GO. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE THOUGHT HE HAD EXTENDED THE LANDING GEAR BUT DID NOT VERIFY IF THE GREEN LANDING GEAR SAFE INDICATOR LIGHT WAS ON OR NOT. AS THE PILOT FLARED FOR TOUCH DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED TO THE RUNWAY WITH THE GEAR UP. THE AIRCRAFT DAMAGE WAS NOT SUBSTANTIAL, THERE WERE NO PASSENGERS, AND THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED. SUBSEQUENT OPERATION OF THE LANDING GEAR ON JACKS WAS NORMAL. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITT^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
