## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS LANDING AT HIS PRIVATE SOD STRIP WHICH IS QUITE NARROW AND SURROUNDED BY SOME AREAS OF WET GROUND. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN THE AIRCRAFT GOT OFF TO ONE SIDE RESULTING IN ONE WHEEL GETTING INTO SOFT DIRT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN WENT OVER ONTO ITS BACK. DAMAGE WAS PROP, RUDDER TOP, AND 2 WING RIBS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI07CA019](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI07CA019), Oct 29, 2006: Aviat S2B (N149TM), Larimore, ND, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain proper alignment with the runway which resulted in the airplane nosing over. A factor associated with the accident was the soft terrain encountered.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
