## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS FLYING DOWN RUNWAY 30. HE INITIATED STEEP ANGLE OF ATTACK AND THE AIRCRAFT STALLED. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO RECOVER AND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE GROUND APPROXIMATELY 100', ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. INVESTIGATION OF THE AIRCRAFT INDICATES THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING AT IMPACT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC07LA022](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC07LA022), Nov 5, 2006: Monard RAF 2000 GTX (N107TM), Ridgely, MD, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain rotor rpm while maneuvering, which resulted in a loss of rotor blade rigidity.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
