## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 11/17/2006, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMI^ WAS FLYING HIS GLASTAR N46776 S/N 7025 WITH A TEST PILOT TO EVALUATE PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRCRAFT'S HORIZONTAL SITUATION INDICATOR (H.S.I.). THE TWO NOTED THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING ROUGH; THIS PROMPTED A MAGNETO CHECK THAT INDICATED THAT THE RIGHT MAGNETOS WERE NOT FUNCTIONING. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO FALCON FIELD WITH NO ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS. UPON RETURNING TO FALCON FIELD, THE AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED & TAXIED UNDER ITS OWN POWER TO PHOENIX COMPOSITES (PART 145 REPAIR STATION) FOR REPAIR. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES OCCURRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
