## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 11/19/06, A CESSNA 172RG, N28RG, WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED WHEN THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED DURING THE LANDING ROLL ON RUNWAY 28R AT MONTGOMERY FIELD AIRPORT (MYF) SAN DIEGO, CA. THE PILOT AND THREE PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. THE AIRPLANE SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE OT ITS LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. INVESTIGATION HAS REVEALED THAT DURING THIS FLIGHT THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND AT MYF AND LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR SWITCH, BUT FAILED TO PUMP THE EMERGENCY LANDING GEAR EXTENSION HANDLE TO ASSURE THE GEAR HAD LOCKED DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY THE FAILURE OF THE ALTERNATOR MOUNTING BOLT. THE PILOT HAS RETURNED TO JAPAN.
