## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT REPORTED THAT DURING RECENT MAINTENANCE ON THE AIRCRAFT, OWNED BY HIM, THE SETTING OF THE MANIFOLD PRESSURE FOR TRIGGERING THE LANDING GEAR WARNING HORN WAS CHECKED AND FOUND TO BE AT ABOUT 15 INCHES, WHICH IS WITHIN REQUIREMENTS. HE STATED THAT DURING THE FINAL APPROACH TO THE RUNWAY AT HARVEY, ND, HE HAD EXTENDED FULL FLAPS AND THE POWER REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN AIRSPEED WAS IN EXCESS OF 15 INCHES MANIFOLD PRESSURE. HE ADDITIONALLY REPORTS THAT HIS WIFE HAS BEEN ILL AND HE WAS DISTRACTED ABOUT THAT CONCERN. HE LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE LANDING GEAR IN THE RETRACED POSITION. MINOR DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE AIRCRAFT, NO INJURIES WERE RECEIVED BY THE PILOT, WHO WAS THE ONLY OCCUPANT. NO FIRE ENSUED. ON RETRIEVING THE AIRCRAFT, ALL SYSTEMS WERE FOUND TO BE OPERATING NORMALLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
