## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) STUDENT PILOT WAS PERFORMING LANDINGS ON RWY 7L. HE CAME IN FOR LANDING AND OVERSHOT THE LANDING TOUCH DOWN AREA. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON THE GROUND AND SLOWING AS HE NEARED TAXIWAY B9. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF THE RUNWAY AT THAT TAXIWAY BUT REALIZED HE WAS NOT GOING TO MAKE THE EXIT. HE THEN CONTINUED HIS ROLL TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY. HE ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF THE RUNWAY AT THE LAST TAXIWAY TURNOFF (B11) AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY, BUT HIS GROUND SPEED WAS STILL TOO FAST. THE AIRCRAFT RAN OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TAXIWAY INTO THE DIRT. THERE WAS A MINOR SCRATCH ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LEFT HAND WING, OTHERWISE NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND TO THE AIRCRAFT. IN A WRITTEN STATEMENT THE PILOF THE AIRCRAFT STATES THAT HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT BEHIND HIM TO HAVE TO GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THIS AIRCRAFT HAD AN INSTRUCTOR ABOARD. HE STATED HE SAW THE AIRCRAFT SWERVE AS IT PASSED B9, AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TOO FAST WHEN IT TURNED ONTO TAXIWAY B11. HE STATES THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVING TOO FAST, LOST CONTROL, TURNED TO THE LEFT AND WENT OFF THE TAXIWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
