## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AS STATED BY THE PILOT, ON HIS LAST LEG OF A ONE HOUR FLIGHT, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA^ DEPARTED BARNES MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (BDF) ENROUTE TO NORTHAMPTON (7B2). THE ATIS AT BARNES REPORTED THE WINDS TO BE AT 220 AT 6 KNOTS. HE MADE AN UNEVENTFUL APPROACH TO RWY 14 AT NORTHAMPTON. ON TOUCHDOWN, HE BOUNCED THE LANDING AND HE STATED THE WIND BLEW THE AIRCRAFT OFF TO THE LEFT. HE THEN RECOVERED AND ROLLED OUT AND TAXIED TO THE FUEL PUMPS. IT WAS REPORTED BY THE AIRPORT MANAGER AT NORTHAMPTON, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA^ WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT UNTIL THE PILOT WHO WAS GOING TO RENT THE AIRCRAFT AT 10:00 INFORMED HIM THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC07CA046](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC07CA046), Dec 10, 2006: Cessna 172R (N9421Z), Northhampton, MA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate recovery from a bounced landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
