## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 23, 2006 PILOT WAS RETURNING TO BOULDER CITY AIRPORT (61B) AFTER A SHORT CROSS COUNTRY FROM JEAN AIRPORT (0L7). PILOT STATED THERE WAS NO IN-FLIGHT ABNORMALITIES DURING THE FLIGHT. UPON LANDING ON RUNWAY 9R, PILOT TURNED OFF TAXIWAY DELTA AND HEADED BACK TO HIS HANGAR WHEN HE HEARD THE ENGINE SPOOL DOWN. HELICYCLE WAS AT APPROXIMATELY 6 OR 7 FEET AGL. THE HELICYCLE ROTATED LEFT WHERE THE PILOT COUNTER REACTED WITH THE RIGHT PEDAL THEN LANDED HARD. THE SKIDS BUCKLED BUT THE HELICOPTER REMAINED UPRIGHT. NO INJURIES OR POST FIRE WAS NOTED. THIS ACCIDENT HAD SLIPPED THRU THE SYSTEM WITHOUT THE INVESTIGATION OF AN INSPECTOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX07CA063](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX07CA063), Dec 23, 2006: Belcher Helicycle (N6912B), Boulder City, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: a loss of engine power due to a fractured fuel line.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
