## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 25, 2006, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ AND HIS SON WERE CONDUCTING A LOCAL FLIGHT IN HIS PERSONAL AIRCRAFT. DURING OPERATIONS IN THE PATTERN AT HALE COUNTY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (PVW) THE ENGINE LOST POWER. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ EXECUTED A DEAD-STICK LANDING, FALLING JUST SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT DAMAGED, BUT INSPECTION OF THE ENGINE REVEALED THE CRANKSHAFT HAD FAILED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO THE RAMP AND CAUSED NO INTERRUPTION TO THE OPERATIONS OF OTHER AIRCRAFT.

## Other reports on N14690 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19920424011079A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19920424011079A), Apr 24, 1992: Blanca 1730A (N14690), Alto, GA, Substantial damage. Ran aux tank dry. Switched to right main. Only brief start. Force landed. Found fuel selector between tanks.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
