## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) INSPECTOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF THE SACRAMENTO FSDO WAS CONDUCTING AN INITIAL FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR PRACTICAL TEST. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS DEMONSTRATING AN EMERGENCY LANDING/180 POWER OFF ACCURACY LANDING AS REQUIRED BY THE PTS. THIS MANEUVER WAS BRIEFED PRIOR TO TAKE OFF AS WERE PIC RESPONSIBILITIES. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS THE PIC. JUST AS THE TAIL STARTED TOUCH DOWN, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ REALIZED THE LANDING GEAR WAS NOT DOWN AND APPLIED FULL POWER AND STARTED A GO-AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO CLIMB, THEN THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ RETRACTED ALL THE FLAPS AND THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ON THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
