## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS LANDING AT ROBERTSON (4B8) WHEN HE APPARENTLY LANDED LONG AND COULD NOT STOP. HE LEFT THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND ROLLED SLOWLY DOWN AN EMBANKMENT INTO THE CHAIN LINK FENCE. HE SAID HE WAS GOING VERY SLOW BUT HE COULD NOT STOP THE AIRCRAFT AND HIT THE FENCE AT 1 OR 2 MPH. DAMAGE ASSESSMENT WAS NOTED AS ONLY A SCRAPE ON THE PROPELLER SPINNER. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS NOTED. PILOT DID STATE THAT HE KEYED THE RADIO TO PUT ON THE RUNWAY LIGHTS BUT THEY DID NOT COME ON. AIRPORT OPERATOR ^PRIVACY DATA^ LATER SAID THE PERSON CHARGED WITH TURNING THEM ON DID IT IMPROPERLY. THE PILOT SAID IT WAS NOT A FACTOR IN HIS LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
