## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT N6447G WAS ENROUTE TO JOHNSTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA AT 11:00 AM. THE AIRCRAFT WAS AT CRUISE, WITH ENGINE RPM AT 2350, WHEN THE ENGINE MADE A LOUD NOISE AND BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH. SHORTLY AFTER, THE ENGINE STOPPED. THE PILOT LOCATED THE NEAREST FIELD, DECLARED A "MAYDAY", INDICATING HIS COORDINATES AS 78E LONGITUDE AND 40W LATITUDE. THE PILOT THEN MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING INTO A FARMERS FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A REST NEAR SIPES MILL ROAD WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRFRAME. NO ONE WAS INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS DISASSEMBLED AND TRUCKED TO THE OWNER'S HANGAR. THE ACTIONS OR INACTIONS OF THE PILOT DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THIS INCIDENT. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INCIDENT INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
