## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JANUARY 5TH, 2007, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY ^ STATED THAT HE CREATED A RUNWAY ON A PLOWED FARM FIELD. THE FURROWS WERE REMOVED AND THE GROUND COMPACTED BY HIS JOHN DEERE 550 DOZER. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY ^ THEN STATED HE RETURNED IN HIS AIRCRAFT AND MADE A LANDING TO THE WEST. WHILE TAXIING BACK FOR TAKE OFF, THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIED ONTO A SOFT SPOT OF EARTH; CAUSING THE NOSE WHEEL TO SINK INTO THE MUD, AND THE PROPELLER TO CONTACT THE GROUND. THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE PROPELLER STRIKE WAS THE AIRCRAFT OVERTURNING, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI07CA055](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI07CA055), Jan 5, 2007: Cessna 150M (N63332), Bristol, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's selection of unsuitable terrain to taxi on for takeoff. A factor was the soft terrain condition.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
