## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THAT HE FLEW A HIGH, STEEP FINAL APPROACH PATH TO A NIGHT LANDING AT KIPNUK, AK AIRPORT. HE INTENDED TO LAND ON A SLIGHT RISE AT THE SOUTH END OF THE RUNWAY BUT ACTUALLY TOUCHED DOWN FIRMLY JUST BEYOND THAT POINT. THE FIRST PART OF THE ROLL OUT WAS NORMAL BUT AT WHAT THE PILOT ESTIMATES TO BE A SPEED OF 35 TO 40 KNOTS THE LEFT WHEEL ENCOUNTERED A DEPRESSION IN THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRPLANE YAWED TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER TO CORRECT FOR THE LEFT YAW AND THE AIRPLANE RESPONDED YAWING RIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN STRUCK A SNOW BERM ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND YAWED AGGRESSIVELY RIGHT INTO THAT SNOW BERM. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE DID NOT SEE THE BERM THAT HE HIT BEFORE THE EVENT.
