## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OM^ STATES THAT AT APPROXIMATELY 1700 HOURS LOCAL TIME, HE DEPARTED KRHV IN N18WB FOR CURRENCY PRACTICE IN THE PATTERN. DURING HIS SECOND LANDING AT KHRV, HE EXECUTED A FULL FLAP LANDING ON RUNWAY 31R. DURING HIS ATTEMPT TO EXIT THE RUNWAY ON TAXIWAY "B", HE APPLIED TOO MUCH BRAKING ACTION AND THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER AND CAME TO REST INVERTED. HE EXITED THE AIRCRAFT UNINJURED. HE ADMITS THAT THE ACCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED BY APPLYING LESS BRAKING AND ENSURING THAT THE CONTROL WHEEL WAS IN THE FULL BACK POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO ITS PROPELLER, WINGTIP, WINDSHIELD, AND EMPENNAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA07CA047](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA07CA047), Jan 14, 2007: Cessna 140 (N18WB), San Jose, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive use of the airplane's wheel brakes, which resulted in a nose over during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
