## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N191VF LANDED RNO RUNWAY 16L AND WAS INSTRUCTED BY ATC TO TURN LEFT ON TAXIWAY (TWY) LIMA, LEFT ON TWY CHARLIE AND TAXI TO SIERRA ON FREQUENCY. N191VF TURNED ONTO THE MERCURY RAMP AND ASKED TOWER HOW TO GET TO SIERRA. TOWER INSTRUCTED N191VF TO JOIN TWY CHARLIE NORTH BOUND. N191VF TURNED ONTO THE ACCESS ROAD AND STRUCK THE TAIL OF A PARKED AIRPLANE N62697 ON THE SIERRA RAMP. AIRPORT AUTHORITY DESCRIBED DAMAGE AS MINOR TO BOTH AIRCRAFT. DURING A PHONE INTERVIEW WITH THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ OF N191VF, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ STATED THAT HE WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE AIRPORT AND THAT HE COULD NOT DETERMINE THAT THE ACCESS ROAD WAS NOT THE TAXIWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
