## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N757LW MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING, DUE TO THE WAKE TURBULENCE CREATED FROM A LANDING HAWKERJET, HS-125 (XA-UEH). INSTRUCTOR OF N757LW STATED THAT HE CHECKED THE PATTERN FOR TRAFFIC, MADE A RADIO CALL OF HIS INTENTIONS, THEN POSITIONED THE AIRCRAFT ON RWY 36. THE INSTRUCTOR MENTIONED THAT THEY DID NOT TAKEOFF IMMEDIATELY, SINCE HE ALLOWED THE STUDENT A FEW MINUTES TO BECOME ORIENTATED WITH HIS PEDALS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. AT APPROXIMATELY 50-100 FEET THE INSTRUCTOR SAID THAT HE SAW THE INSIDE OF THE REAR OF THE JET AIRCRAFT ENGINES GLOW RED, AND WAS NOT SURE IF THE AIRCRAFT DID A TOUCH-AND-GO, OR IF THEY EXECUTED A GO AROUND. (A COMMENT WAS MADE ABOUT KNOWN RADIO PROBLEMS). ACCORDING TO A WITNESS, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PILOT OF BEECHJET, N42AJ, WHO WAS PREPARING FOR DEPARTURE: THE HAWKER MADE A NORMAL APPROACH TO RWY 36, APPEARED TO LEVEL OFF AT ABOUT 100 FEET, THEN MADE A GO-AROUND; ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT, THE HAWKER EXECUTED ANOTHER SECOND GO-AROUND AND LANDED ON RWY 32. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE ALSO HAS HAD NUMEROUS CLOSE CALLS HIMSELF AT SEF, AND THAT THE OPERATORS HAVE A BAD HABIT OF SITTING ON THE RUNWAY PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, AND THEIR RADIOS ARE UNREADABLE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA07CA044](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA07CA044), Jan 26, 2007: Airborne Windsports Classic (N757LW), Sebring, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's delay on the runway prior to takeoff that resulted in an encounter with wake turbulence from a landing jet that had to perform a go-around.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
