## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N8771A, CL-600-2B19, OPERATING AS PINNACLE AIRLINES FLIGHT 5798 WAS INBOUND TO OMAHA, NE, WHEN THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO A FLAP PROBLEM. THE CREW LANDED THE AIRPLANE SAFELY. THE CREW TOLD MAINTENANCE THAT THE FLAPS WERE SET AT 20 DEGREES, AND INDICATING 20 DEGREES, WHEN THEY RECEIVED A FLAPS FAIL MESSAGE. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE FLAPS AT THE ZERO DEGREE POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO MEMPHIS, TN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE 2006-12-21.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
