## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N8688C, CL-600-2B19, OPERATING AS PINNACLE AIRLINES FLIGHT 5879 WAS INBOUND TO OMAHA, NE, FROM DETROIT, MI. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO A FLAP PROBLEM. THE CREW LANDED THE AIRPLANE SAFELY. THE CREW RECEIVED A FLAPS FAIL MESSAGE WHEN THEY SELECTED FLAPS. THE FLAPS FAILED AT ZERO DEGREES. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE FLAPS AT THE ZERO DEGREE POSITION. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED, AND FOUND NO BINDING NOR SPLIT FLAPS. THE MECHANIC REAPPLIED POWER AND OPERATED FLAP SYSTEM TO 20 DEGREES. HE REINSPECTED THE FLAPS PER AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE 2006-12-21. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO MEMPHIS, TN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE 2006-12-21.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
