## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A GEAR MALFUNCTION AFTER TAKEOFF, WHICH WAS THE AIRCRAFT'S FIRST FLIGHT AFTER MAINTENANCE. THE MAINTENANCE INVOLVED A RELATED GEAR PROBLEM THAT RESULTED IN REPLACING SOME HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, THE IN-TRANSIT LIGHT STAYED ILLUMINATED ALL THROUGH THE FLIGHT WITH THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR NOT RETRACTING COMPLETELY INTO THE WHEEL WELL. THE GEAR HANDLE WAS CYCLED DOWN AND THE NOSE AND LEFT MAIN GEAR OPERATED NORMALLY INDICATING DOWN AND LOCKED WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE GREEN LIGHTS "ON." THERE WERE ATTEMPTS MADE TO GET THE RIGHT GEAR DOWN SUCH AS: CONDUCTING FLIGHT TURNING MANEUVERS AND BOUNCING ON THE RUNWAY HOPING TO DISLODGE THE GEAR, WHICH ALL ATTEMPTS FAILED. AFTER APPROXIMATELY TWO (2) HOURS, THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT ON THE REMAINING GEAR HOLDING IT UP UNTIL FINALLY TOUCHING THE RIGHT WING, WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO SPIN ONTO A SOFT DIRT AREA. THERE WAS MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT FLAP AND LOWER AILERON CONTROL AREAS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
