## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT FOUND NOTHING MECHANICALLY WRONG WITH AIRCRAFT. AFTER TALKING TO EYE WITNESSES, THE PILOT, THE PILOT'S WIFE AND INVESTIGATION OF THE SCENE, IT IS THIS INSPECTOR'S OPINION THAT A STRONG GUST OF WIND/DUST DEVIL WAS THE CAUSE OF THIS EVENT. AFTER THE GUST HIT THE AIRCRAFT THE PILOT CUT POWER AND THE MIXTURE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS PUSHED OFF THE RUNWAY AND INTO A DITCH CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING AND THE WING ATTACH POINT ON THE LEFT SIDE FUSELAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA07CA072](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA07CA072), Mar 7, 2007: Cessna T210M (N6520B), Boulder City, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during landing, which resulted in a runway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
