## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE TAXIING THE SNJ-5 AIRCRAFT USING THE "S-TURN" PROCEDURE, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TAXIED ACROSS A GLIDER WING THAT WAS NOT SEEN BY THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. PILOT'S STATEMENT: AFTER LANDING ON RUNWAY 8L, I TURNED ONTO TAXIWAY E, AND, IN ACCORDANCE WITH TOWER'S INSTRUCTIONS, I TURNED RIGHT ON TAXIWAY F AND CROSSED RUNWAY 8R TO THE RAMP. AFTER ENTERING THE RAMP, I TURNED RIGHT TO THE WEST TO LOOK ACROSS THE MAIN RAMP AND LOCATE MY DESTINATION - A SMALL RAMP ABOUT 300 YARDS AWAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE MAIN RAMP AND JUST EAST OF TAXIWAY A. I ALSO LOOKED FOR OBSTRUCTIONS ALONG MY PATH AND AT MY DESTINATION. SEEING NONE, I CONTINUED TO TAXI, MAKING S-TURNS DUE TO THE CONVENTIONAL GEAR AND OBSTRUCTED VIEW OVER THE COWLING. I SCANNED LEFT AND RIGHT FOR TRAFFIC THROUGH THE S-TURNS TO CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR TRAFFIC AND TO MAINTAIN SIGHT OF THE SMALL RAMP. DESPITE MY SCAN, AS I APPROACHED THE SMALL RAMP, I DID NOT SEE A SMALL, MOTORIZED GLIDER, SLIGHTLY TO MY RIGHT AND VERY LOW TO THE GROUND. THE RIGHT WING OF THE GLIDER WAS RESTING ON THE GROUND, AND THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR OF MY AIRPLANE RAN OVER IT ABOUT 5' FROM THE TIP. SINCE I WAS TAXIING SLOWLY, I WAS ABLE TO STOP IMMEDIATELY.
