(-23) ON MARCH 19, 2007, THE VAN NUYS FSDO RECEIVED A TELEPHONE CALL FROM A ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF VISTA AVIATION AT THE WHITEMAN AIRPORT IN PACOIMA, CALIFORNIA. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT ONE OF HIS AIRCRAFT, A CESSNA 172, WAS OPERATED WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM VISTA AVIATION SOME TIME BETWEEN THE LATE EVENING OF FRIDAY MARCH 16, 2007 AND THE EARLY MORNING OF SATURDAY, MARCH 17, 2007, AND RETURNED WITH EXTENSIVE DAMAGE; DIRT AND ROCKS WERE ON SEVERAL SURFACES. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ NOTIFIED THE LOCAL POLICE AND FILED A REPORT (REPORT #0716-08541). INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED IMPACT DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT OUTBOARD WING TIP, AND BOTH FORWARD AND AFT WING SPARS.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
