## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) IN A TEHAMA COUNTY SHERIFF REPORT IT IS DOCUMENTED THAT THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ (AN UN-CERTIFICATED PILOT) DEPARTED FROM A FIELD NEAR HIS DWELLING IN A SINGLE SEAT QUICKSILVER MM SPRING (AN ULTRA LIGHT AIRCRAFT). DURING THE SHORT FLIGHT THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ STATED HE "REACHED AN ALTITUDE OF ABOUT 150 TO 200 FEET WHEN HE GOT A CRAMP IN HIS RIGHT LEG. DURING HIS ATTEMPT TO STRAIGHTEN HIS LEG OUT, HE ACCIDENTLY BUMPED THE THROTTLE, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL." THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT AND DOWN, CRASHING INTO THE ROOF OF THE R RANCH GENERAL STORE AT ^PRIVACY DAT^ IN TEHAMA COUNTY, CA. THE ROOF OF THE BUILDING WAS DAMAGED AND THE ULTRA LIGHT AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ REFUSED TRANSPORTATION BY MEDICAL PERSONNEL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
