## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 25 AT BRISCOE FIELD (LZU) IN LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. AS HE WAS TOUCHING DOWN, IT APPEARED TO THE PILOT THAT HE WAS DRIFTING TO THE LEFT DUE TO A RIGHT CROSSWIND. THE FLIGHT CONTROLS WERE ADJUSTED TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS CONDITION AND THEN THE PILOT SAID THAT HE EXPERIENCED WHAT WAS DESCRIBED IN OTHER WORDS AS A GROUND LOOP. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT (SOUTH SIDE OF RUNWAY), PIVOTED AROUND THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AND CAME TO REST ABOUT 225 DEGREES TO THE LEFT OF HIS ORIGINAL HEADING. EVIDENCE INDICATES THAT THE TAIL WAS AIRBORNE ROTATING TO THE RIGHT AND THEN THE TAIL WHEEL HIT THE GROUND AND SEPARATED FROM ITS ATTACHMENT POINT ALONG WITH THE LOWER PART OF THE RUDDER WHICH WAS MOUNTED AT THE SAME ATTACHMENT POINT - 180 DEGREES OPPOSITE TO THE TAILWHEEL. THE DAMAGE THEN INDICATED THAT THE TAILWHEEL THEN BOUNCED BACK TO THE LEFT, WHERE THE RIGHT MAIN TOUCHED DOWN IN A REARWARD MOTION BENDING THE RIGHT MAIN STRUT FORWARD. SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE TRAILING EDGE OF THE RIGHT OUTBOARD WING AND RIGHT OUTBOARD ELEVATOR STRUCK THE GROUND IN A REAR WARD MOTION AS TAIL WAS MOVING BACK TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION WITH NOTED STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.
