## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING A MAINTENANCE FLIGHT ON A REPLACEMENT ENGINE WITH APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS TOTAL TIME, THE THROTTLE LINKAGE STUCK, THEN BROKE. THE ENGINE POWER ENDED UP AT A REDUCED SETTING, CAUSING THE PILOT TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DAMAGED DURING THE EMERGENCY LANDING WHEN IT FLIPPED OVER, ON ITS BACK. THE THROTTLE CABLE COULD NOT BE MOVED DURING THE POST CRASH INSPECTION POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE ENGINE AND THE BENDING OF THE ENGINE MOUNTS. FURTHER DISASSEMBLY OF THE THROTTLE CABLE WILL BE REQUIRED AND AN M OR D FILED IF REQUIRED. THE AIRMAN WAS COUNSELED ON PROCEDURES FOR TEST FLYING SINGLE ENGINE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
