## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 03/31/2007 A CE-402, N765EA LANDED WITH THE GEAR UP IN THE GRASS AT A DRAG RACE TRACK. MIAMI DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT NOTIFIED LOCAL ATC, AND SO-FLA-FSDO-19. THE PILOT ABANDONED THE CRASH SCENE AND NEVER NOTIFIED THE AUTHORITIES OF THE ACCIDENT. ON 04/04/2007 AFTER EXTENSIVE DATA RESEARCH WE WERE ABLE TO TRACE THE AIRCRAFT OWNER, LOCATED IN CALIFORNIA, HE PROVIDED TO THE INVESTIGATOR INSPECTORS THE NAME OF THE PILOT IN COMMAND. INVESTIGATOR CONTACTED THE PILOT AND REQUESTED A WRITTEN STATEMENT OF THE ACCIDENT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
