## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER AIRCRAFT TOUCHDOWN, THE PILOT REPORTED THAT A STRONG WIND GUST CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, STRIKING A RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT. THE REPORTED WINDS AT THE TIME OF LANDING WERE 290 DEGREES AT 12 KNOTS GUSTING TO 20 KNOTS. THE AIRCRAFT MAXIMUM DEMONSTRATED DIRECT CROSSWIND, AS STIPULATED IN THE AIRCRAFT AFM, IS 20 KNOTS. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED A CRACKED FIBERGLASS WHEEL FAIRING ON THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR, AS A RESULT OF THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTING THE RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
