THE MAIN AIRCRAFT WRECKAGE FELL INTO THE RIVER WHILE THE AIRCRAFT'S AFT CABIN CARPETING AND RELATED FLOOR STRUCTURE REMAINED IMPALED ON TOP OF THE POWER POLE. THE COLLISION WITH THE POWER POLE WAS WITNESSED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WHO STATED THAT SHE SAW THE AIRCRAFT STRIKE THE POWER LINE THEN HIT THE SUPPORT TOWERS BEFORE AIRCRAFT PIECES FELL INTO THE ST. JOHNS RIVER. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED MOUNT ROYAL AIRPARK LOCATED IN WELAKA, FL. TWO OCCUPANTS ABOARD THE AIRCRAFT WERE FATALLY INJURED. NOTE: THE PILOT'S FLIGHT LOGS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR DETERMINING FLIGHT HOURS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA07LA081](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA07LA081), Apr 19, 2007: Cessna U206G (N2874B), Welaka, FL, substantial damage, 2 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's continued visual flight into instrument meteorological conditions and his failure to maintain clearance from utility poles. Contributing to the accident were the fog and haze.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
